Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps positions

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro is filling 5 AmeriCorps positions -- 2 each in Construction and Home Repair, and one in Volunteer Services. Construction and home repair candidates must be at least 20, have a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver's license, and be physically able to do all aspects of construction work, including climbing, crawling, and lifting. AmeriCorps members serve a year with the affiliate and will be trained in all aspects of new home construction and home repair/rehab. They will lead volunteer teams in the performance of various construction tasks. AmeriCorps members assist the affiliate by preparing the sites for volunteer workdays, setting up and cleaning up the sites each day, maintaining the vehicles and tools, and employing safe site work techniques. The volunteer member must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, good communication skills, and some computer skills.
