RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use defined work processes for check in/out, file, track, research, scan and shred paper records, documents, maps, graphics and other physical materials as needed. Provide input for improving and expanding processes to control documents. Supports a national effort to define domestic land resources. Training in work processes is provided.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Demonstrable skills in working as a team member, and in initiating improvements and new processes.
• Prior experience in an office atmosphere where extensive filing of physical records is required.
• Familiarity with bar code/RFID tracking systems a plus.
• Excellent ability to read and follow written technical instructions, use a computer, and skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer software.
• Ability to read and understand maps.
REQUIREMENTS
• Available to work day or swing shift.
• High School diploma, degree in Library Science or directly related equivalent work experience preferred.
• Appropriate training and work experience using productivity software on personal computers including word processor, spreadsheet, and databases.
• Must have current authorization to work in the U.S.
