The Stokesdale News (www.stokesdalenews.com) is seeking freelance writers in the NW Guilford County area to write feature stories.



Requirements:

--Must have some writing experience

--MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH STOKESDALE, SUMMERFIELD, AND OAK RIDGE

--Must have digital camera and reliable transportation

--Must be able to be a "self-starter" and communicate well with editors

--Must have Internet access to e-mail stories and photos

--MOST OF ALL, the ability to meet deadlines consistently

--NO restaurant critics, band reviewers, opinion columnists, or movie reviewers needed. Thanks.



PLEASE: No writers outside of the NW Guilford County area (Greensboro is okay) or folks who are not here yet, but are moving here, etc. Also, please don't apply if you're going to accept story assignments, disappear for two weeks, and then say you're not going to have time to do it. If you don't want the job then don't apply for it -- IT WILL BE A LOT OF HARD WORK.



We welcome bloggers who have the ability to write non-opinion pieces and can submit some examples.



When replying, please send *text only* as attachments with some of your work (or online links to articles) and also please include at least three previous clients as references. We will not read any Word documents due to virus concerns, etc.
