Horticultural Media Research Specialist

Local progressive packaging company looking for management assistance in a fast paced, constantly changing environment. The responsibilities of our Research Specialist include acquisition and organization of plant specific photography used in a customized horticultural library. In addition to gathering specific photographs, the candidate is responsible for researching and writing brief summaries of related plant cultural information.





The ideal candidate has obtained practical experience and/or degreed studies in Horticultural Science, with an emphasis on recognizing and identifying plants to the specific variety or cultivar level (given the necessary research tools).





The candidate must comfortably utilize basic computer skills (spreadsheet manipulation is a requirement) and enjoy writing. Use of Internet search tools plays an important role in this research position. Finally, an ability to manage multiple projects in compact time frames with attention to detail is a must.





An interest in photography and printing technologies is also helpful.





Salary dependent upon relevant experience.
