A new Greensboro newspaper (but started by an experienced newspaper publishing company) is seeking a freelance page designer who has newspaper and pre-press print design experience to "plug-in" stories and photos in our 24 to 32 page tabloid print monthly edition. From our other markets, we have a template ready which we will use every month, so plug and play will be the norm. In addition, we will need some advertising design done on an hourly basis.



Requirements:

--Must have some newspaper or magazine pre-press

design experience

--Ability to work in Quark Express

--Ability to do a good job in a short amount of time

--Ability to create final PDF's for the web printer

and work with editors

--Ability to work with advertisers in a cordial and

polite manner

--MOST OF ALL, the ability to meet print deadlines

consistently



You can work from home on this project. In between issues, we will be sending you copy, advertisements, etc. so that you don't have to do everything at once.



When replying, please send only PDF's as attachments with some of your work and also please include three previous clients as references if possible.



Please also remember that this is a newspaper, not a magazine, so we're looking for someone who can get the job done, not someone who will do it perfectly but will miss our print deadline. If you've worked in
